Run away days

its about escaping a place where you dont belong

 

He wakes to face the image-mirrored in his stare-the self he creates makes him aware-he goes waiting for a new escape-a new sidewalk he lays to call his grace-and now he;s caught up in the face of all the people he loves to erase and he's trying to escape the landscape of this place-

And these runaway days-another second and im still not afraid-Id run away from these days-to feel the reality of my escape.

These battle lines i have crossed-in the roads that i forever walk-this self needs purpose while im hanging high on their cross-another name to add to a million last goodbyes-and i once said i never want to be what i use to see looking back at me through my own hallowed eyes.
