Fiddler

Fiddler

A Poem by Misterr Remeat
"

Written after seeing my first Lindsey Stirling video

"
Bow to string
The violin sings
she leaps and twirls
and creates a world
That is her own
her private zone
that breaks our hearts
as we're not part
and can only listen
while our tears glisten
as our souls take wing
bow to string

I do not know Lindsey Stirling, but this is a fine tribute to her as a musician. Her violin playing seemingly moved you to tears. That has happened to me too on occasions.. That has to be an artist at the top of their game that can touch the emotions in this way.

Thank you very much!
Every time I read a poem about a violin (or violinist) I cannot help but play my poem "Minuet in Minor" in my head (my mind tends to do that). But this poem, short and sweet, is a nice lullaby to the fact that art is divine and the mortals who experience it understand (or should) that they're not part of this world, and that the experience is thus supposed to be taken seriously (not for granted). This also read like a children's poem/song, which enriched the lullaby factor. Well done! Much enjoyed.

my pleasure.
Good job focusing on this inspiring moment. I find, when I watch artists of all persuasion, it's very inspiring for writing. I'm especially taken by musicians who perform their art with full-body physicality . . . it's amazing to watch how the music seems to come from the whole body, not just the instrument. You captured that, which is one of my favorite things about watching musicians play (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
