She knew not who she was

She was carefree

 She let her guard down

She played with the dogs

She lowered her standards

She misused her gift

She was a queen

She was unaware

She had a rare gift

But she cast it to the dogs

She was royalty

Powerful

Special

Gifted

Beautiful

Queen unaware

Queen without her crown

Crown discarded

She deserved better

She settled for less

She knew not who she was

So she got not what she deserved

She was a queen

But she was unaware...
