She

She

A Poem by Sylvia Chika

She reeked of it

She flaunted it

She displayed it

She sold it

SEX!

Clad in provocation

Glowing in her trade

She called her buyers

With provocative sounds

And sinful gestures

She lured them out

From street corners

They crept out

From their homes

They sneaked out

From buildings

They rolled out

Her buyers answered

They heard

They saw

She stood in the shadows

She lavished her sin upon their senses

She was on display

She stood in her display case

And called them by their desires

She knew their demons

She was friends with the devil

With a sultry voice

She beckoned on them

They crawled towards her

She beckoned

They drew closer

No one considered her price

DEATH!

She called them by their weaknesses

Like hungry dogs

They drew closer

As they approached her pretty wall of Hades

She drew them in

Into her bosom

Into an abyss of death

They found comfort in her arms

And she released sweet hell upon them

Little flames

Little burns

And then she pulled them all down

Down with her

Into the darkness

Into the place of torment

Her little world of torment

The demons sucked them in

They nodded in approval

And up she went again

Back to the earth

To draw more men to her

Reeking of sexuality and doom

She knew her job

And she did it well

Clad in destruction and death

She pulled them in
