Which world do you live in?

Reality or Fantasy?
That is the question
Are you here or there?
Do you even know?

Reality--oh! Yes I know
It’s cruel, callused hand hurt
It’s red eyes and envy-green skin
It’s sneer and piercing laughter

Yes, it can be nice
I suppose
We don’t really see it that way
No, it seems evil and icy

It points at our faults
Ignores our positives
It’s private and hidden
Yet bold and loud

It seems to be all
We don’t want
Make it go away!
Is this your world?

While Fantasy--ah, how lovely!
Carries our imagination!
Elves, dragons, angels and more
What ever your heart desires!

The fluffy white clouds to bounce on
The perfect complexion you wish for
The wings of perfection
The dream of dreams

The idealistic world
An Utopia to us all
Everyone pleased with what they have
Just think up whatever else you want

Bold or shy, young or old;
Fantasies will always thrive
Always survive
Is this your world?

Which one is it, my dear friend?
Reality or Fantasy?
The cruel or soft?
The real or fantastic?

Do you stand there with your head in the clouds?
Do you stand there seeing just plain Earth?
Or do you think of other worlds?
Of new ideas, idealistic fancies?

Reality or Fantasy?
My dear, you really must chose
Stay here on Earth, or travel
To new dimension,
Into visions

The time has come…
Hurry now
Which one will you chose?
Fantasy or Reality?
Reality or Fantasy?

Author's Note

It depends. I'm very realistic and logical. But when I'm writing or reading, I kinda just let myself slip into a different mind-set, or a fantasy. :)

well, hey, can ya tell me the tittle of the best book that you've written. I wanna read that first ?

My best book? I'd say that my best book is Myrchase. However, it's a continuance of the Harry Potter Series (I'm a big fan)... So, I would reccomend you read about what happens in the series before you attempt the novel. Nevertheless, I do have a reader who hasn't fully watched the Harry Potter movies, nor read the books and seems to be doing quite well with the book. So... You choice. XD

Your poem makes readers think. Anyone who has studied quantum mechanics or looked billions of years into the past through a telescope knows that reality is more fantastic than any fantasy we my envision. Our present world would read as a fantasy to someone in the Fifteenth Century. Reality is a moving target that's never the same from moment to moment. Everything that we know only tells us how much we don't know. We live in a much more mysterious world than those of the Fifteenth Century. Wherever there's mystery, anything might be possible. What we are first and foremost are explorers of the unknown. We're always reinventing ourselves and our world.
