The first words

Enchanting.

I couldn’t look away

 

You grasped my heart

My mind

My soul

I never wanted to let go

 

I loved your life, your friends, your ways

I love you every single day

Your smile, your charms, and all your faults

Whatever you gave, I thirsted for more

 

You were a hero, a lover

And above all : a friend

Your fought and loved until the end

You stood for what you believed was true

And let your heart lead you through

 

Elegant, eloquent

Brave and strong

You took me by the hand

Showed me the moments

 

That time you fought your darkest foe

And when you first fell in love

The beauty, the horror, and all else in-between

I listened and gasped and cheered eagerly

 

And when at last I came to the end,

I smiled and cried and started again

I love this!

The only thing that stood out was this line

"You stood for what you believed was true"

Personally, I would have used 'were' instead of 'was' but I don't really know if anybody else would agree!

I really liked this though :)
