The Path.

The Path.

A Poem by SyN

Surrounded by the woods
The wind whispers its secrets to the forest,
She is drawn to a creek where the river caresses the earth
A small wooden bridge leads across to a meadow
The flowers rise as if in rapture to the sun.

A path leads from the meadow unseen
There is a field of wheat growing
tipped with golden hairs swaying
In wild abandon they stroke the hazy skyline
As clouds drift across the sun.

She seeks shelter from the noon heat.
The voices of children giggling
Carry over the blueberry bush
Sprites look to steal its fruit
While babies tickle their feet.

The goddess on the god,
On him who is the Flame
That he and she may seize the silver reins
The twin horsed chariot as one.
Let the lightning touch the earth,
Let the lance ensoul the grail,
Let the magic come to birth

My angels bow and cry,
Dance with maidens as their brides
In her name do I invoke thee,Mighty One
Come in answer to my call!

Descend I pray thee
In thy servant and priest,
In him who is the Flame.
In her who is the Life.
On Earth that is the Gift.
