Feel Something

Feel Something

A Poem by Tae Notton

I told you I didn't feel a thing,
so you soaked me with your tears.

As my clothes clung to my frame,

you pushed at my ribs.

I told you I didn't pain,

so you took an axe to my wrist bones.

My arms hung like Christmas lights

I told you I was numb,

so you pushed my head under the waves.

I heard you scream above,

“Feel, feel, feel”.

I still didn’t feel a thing.
