The Unconscious Ones

They are unconscious, all diseased, alive but lifeless

Heedless of the gem they have within which is priceless

 

Deceit and sham all around, nothing of value

Conceit is all they want to sell you

 

Like a diamond inside a mountain, undiscovered

The good within seems away to be uncovered

 

There’s no striving, no attempt, and no reflection

To find the wisdom God bestows in His perfection

 

We are of God; we have the good of the Good that He is made of

We must return to the self we shouldn’t be afraid of
