Cold

Cold

A Poem by Tammy
"

I wrote this a few years back...interesting how resilient the heart can be."

"

"Cold"

Hold, and hold, hold...

and so it goes,

my faith unfolds,

as dreams foretold

he sold for gold.

The hope i'd hold,

and faith bestowed,

would never be

allowed to grow.

The price, most bold,

was the lie he told.

Hold, and hold, hold...

and so it goes,

like pearls that grow

in their mother's fold,

or icy spikes that form

to a mold, my heart has

grown most cold.
