On Individuality

On Individuality

A Poem by Tardisbaby

I could revel in your stares
Or find pleasure in your glares
But it seems to make me tired
I could try to live the way
Of the paths already paved
But it makes me miserable

Because I cannot stand
That I can't hear who I am
Between the scriptures and the words
That a million ears have heard
I'm not saying that they're wrong
But enveloped in the throng
How can I say no?

Fight the system, protect the people
Don't matter what you do
Just remember to question every word
That will be given to you.

I believe in questioning things, definitely. Not everyone knows, wants or even really cares what is best for other people. It's a fine line though bc you can miss out on an awful lot if you aren't careful. I hear what your saying loud and clear. Excellent piece!

A guided piece that leads one to think of those things that stop us as people growing, well done, good read.
