Shower Thoughts

Shower Thoughts

A Poem by Tasteless Heart

Time for reflection, time for a pause
Time to now mourn the things we have lost
Time for acceptance, for some relief
Time to stop fighting what we cannot beat

Better to have loved, better to have lost
But those that remain will suffer love's cost
Blind to our future, blind to our path
Running in vain from ghosts of the past

Nothing's for certain, nothing's for sure
We keep moving forward, hoping there's more
But deep in the darkness, alone with our thoughts
In silence we know that all hope is lost.

Your end lines in this piece are so true. We can hope and we can reflect, be positive about certain thoughts at certain times, yet even the most optimistic of us have to admit defeat and accept that even hoping that there was a rule book to make sense of our lot, it would probably be in a language that is indecipherable to us. Another wonderful piece.
