A Poem by Fire&Ice

Molten wax has slipped over my scar

The one on my neck

It burns at the scab

Then cools and becomes solid

I sigh, knowing that now, no one can see

The pain I had to forethink

Yet tomorrow there will be another scar

Threatening to tear my flesh

I know I'll learn to feel fine

But for right now, I can only feel

The sharpened edge, ripping

Slicing into me

No longer does the trickling stream

Of blended red and purple

Seep from my soul

Today I can say

It only shreds my skin

My soul is safe

..For now.

this is really powerful. your message is what really shines. i love the line about the blending or red and purple. the only thing iw ould change is the line about the scab- i feel it's not clear or necessary.
good job.

Very nice, I like the metaphor of pain today, heals but tomorrow will surely bring more. I like the creative way you presented your work. I have no critique because your words are smooth and flow nicely. I look forward to reading more of your work soon, send me some request.

Very good piece. I can sense your fear and dread of opening the scar up again...poignant.

Wow like this and what it has to say. Those moments in between were you get reprieves from the insanity.

Woah. Did YOU write this? lol - jk. But this is really good. It really gives you something to think about. Muy bien.
