What Are Dreams

What Are Dreams

A Poem by Thomas Philmore Jackson
"

What are dreams?

"

What are Dreams?
Dreams I’ve once had.
Dreams never to happen.
Once had such Dreams as a child…

Today the sun shed a tear that fell towards the earth.
I watched in awe as the tear fell so tragically yet so beautifully, the air filled with a strange melody, my heart trembled.
As the tear was about to crash down on me I wondered what the last thought of my soul would be?
I fell to my knees in front of my hopes and my sins, my nightmares and my dreams.
I wish you were here to hold me as I fade away.
And then I woke.

What are Dreams?
Did I not know how to Dream?
Dreams are a mystery to me.
How I wish to never have such Dreams?
I wish you were here to show me how to Dream?
