Glad Wrap

Glad Wrap

A Poem by Richard Williams
"

A Christmas poem.

"

Star of Bethlehem, snow in the air,
red suit, chimney soot, Santa beware;
hymns at the service with candles aglow,
reindeer on roof top, a madrigal show.
The stars all sing from high above
and Christmas wraps my heart with love.

Blitzen, frankincense, shepherd at night,
myrrh and mistletoe, ornament light;
a child's joy on one special morn,
away in a manger, Jesus is born.
It is the season of the dove
as Christmas wraps my heart with love.

Bells and baubles and songs of wassail,
season's greetings, gift card in the mail;
Hershey kisses on a midnight clear,
good tidings to all, a joyous new year.
Despite the frosty push and shove,
Christmas still wraps my heart with love.
