Introspecting Time

Time is my scorned lover -
Stalking me,
The restless pacing
of her tick-tocking
echoes
in tone deaf hollows
of empty ears.

 

It is the moment
before explosion
Breath held,
Uneven strokes
of hands unwinding -

This tick seems to stick.

 

Wheels and gears
keeping an unseen rhythmn
of a numbered space
in walking time.

 

Stretching out in
obscene dreams...
And yet -
it all passes
in a single burst of breath.

Time holds all the answers, and tells all, now if the questions can be found, before it runs out, that's the clock. I liked this, a lot.

Time is certainly a funny thing, it seems to drag on when you are feeling blue but flies by in happier time... if only it were reversed... certainly a very well written poem that captures those exact feelings.

wow I don't think I've ever seen the passage of time described so eloquently nor so perfectly!!!! How it seems to drag sometimes in the moment; yet the passage of years can seem to occur in mere seconds. beautifully done - and right on target here!
