I was born for you

I was born for you

A Poem by teodor dragomir
"

This is a poem about the human relationship with ones body; especially my strained relationship with mine due to my gender dysphoria. Please leave some much needed constructive criticism <3

"
oh, can’t you see?
exactly as you are
with your skin and your bones
your carcass defines you

like a zombie
misshapen

you sulk about life
blaming your body,
made of mud,
for the mistakes it has made

you’ve wronged it
and you’re wrong
you child.
please tell me really
can’t you see i was born for you?

Ignore capitals but what do you think about the poem itself? Every part of it has a deeper significance to me but I’m not sure that it’s clearly portrayed to an outside readers

This was a very thoughtful and illuminating piece of poetry with a very important message behind it. We must love who we are on the inside and not take to heart the expectations of society and their ideas of beauty and perfection. Accept the you that you are and the body you were born into. A nicely written poem Teodor with a very true and strong message. Thank you for sharing your poem with us.
