Empty hold: Empty sole.

Empty hold: Empty sole.

Short poem about some fisherman. From the point of view of a captain trying to keep moral up.

Empty holds: Empty soles.

Treacherous thought, better left untold.

Cancerous thoughts: incarcerated by the sole.

Days slide by, as sword slashes sole.

Weeks pass by as waves take toll.

Moral sinks low, no joy to behold.

Crew grows tired, as another Gail torments their sole.

All I think.

All I know.

Is someday lad’s WE SHALL fill the empty holds.

I know that not everybody is stupid... but when I mention "holds" I am taking about the place on a ship/boat where fisherman hold their catch/fish etc.
enjoy.

I like this! I find it in dark and intriguing :) though, when you say sole, do you mean soul? The one in your body and not the one in your shoe?
