A peek inside my perpetually cheerful mind.

It's been a long time
Since I felt the force of a smile.
It's been ages and ages
Since I felt my heart beat.
All I know is
Whites and blacks and grays.
I feel lost
In the world of pictures and words.
I'm out of touch
With reality and love and pain.
I feel like
I've been drained empty of everything I once was.
I've been searching
For some reason, some soul, some life, some reason.
I can feel it
Hiding just far from my reach.
It's the one thing
That keeps me hoping for a better tomorrow.
Maybe one day,
I'll find it and it'll be the salvation I've always needed.
