Skeletons

A Poem by The High Poet

 Skeletons

Hang my skeletons in my closet

I had a key but then I lost it

My secrets are what hold me back

What is this I truly lack?

Using drugs to forget my past

Always wanting one more blast

One led to two, to three and four

I just can't not do this anymore!

Time to search and find my key

Face my past and stay in me

No more time to run away

This time I must stand and stay

Very honest. I think we all have secrets that we lock away and "forget" about. I liked the imagery in it. Good work!

you are not alone in these hidden secrets - if i can let go of some of the things in my past and stare them on i think i will be healthier and more resilient and receptive on other things that i've got to deal with

Wow this is very interesting. It seems you are confronting your past which you have done so much to forget. I liked this poem alot.
