God?

God?

A Poem by The High Poet
"

This poem may piss some people off or not. This is just one of my thoughts on the subject.

"

God?

Is there a God in the sky?

Looking down deciding who shall die

Up there sitting at his prayer buffet

Wondering who he should kill today

****

People say that God is everywhere

But I have never seen him there

So where do people go when they die?

If they don't go to a heaven in the sky

****

I believe in energy that will never die

It's all around us, in the air and in the sky

So when the body dies where does the energy go?

Thats my question, one of the things I don't know

This is a very decent piece. A true open minded writer (that cannot relate or is religious) would actually look at this and say that it greatly illustrates a new world that they have never seen before or as a new learning experience from another perspective, rather than get pissed off.

These are questions I feel we all ask ourselves, including
me. I really like this line: Up there sitting at his prayer buffet
Great word usage. I also believe in energy and that it never dies.

I do believe in Heaven as well, and feel that's where our
soul goes when we die.

I don't want to get too deep here:).
Good write, keep up the good work.

Well I personally think where does the energy for you to be there in the 1st place come from is the real question. After you die I would hazard a guess its passed onto other people in order to be born or grow. It is a well thought out piece of writing though.

One thing though I'm not religious but if there were a god he wouldn't kill people...so in a way there's still a lot for you to address. Also if people could live for ever what they really want to? I know it's just a piece of writing but I feel the topic you've use needs to have more depth rather then your one sided thoughts.

Since this is meant to be a poem I also feel you could have addressed the each of the three topic in greater detail, such as "Is there really a God in the Sky?" add your own though instead of trying to write it as a viewer, might as well write it from your mind as you see it.

Would he be looking down at us simply bored, or sitting on a chair in order to show his Authority over us? And since when did god have to be a person an Existence fixed to one place at a time? couldn't he be in all of us his own body broken down in order for us all to exist. I like the idea ( :

I liked this a lot, an intelligent and well written poem on a rather touchy subject.
Personally I agree with your thinking. I though the way you turned some lines into questions worked very well too.
I liked your take on this topic a lot. 100/100 =)
