The Beast Remains

The Beast Remains

A Poem by duff

Destroy my soul every night

I kneel serving moon misery

No one responsible but you

Chains hold the new dreams

I hate being me until I’m free

This roar grows into violence

A silent sky breeds the truth

No mask needed here friend

Hold kin I do not give a damn

Ravage the night using teeth

Pounding on the door it is me

Red eyes watching you sleep

I can guess it's the mind who's talking to or about the soul. Either way, the piece is harsh, or to be more precise, beautifully harsh.

Hi. You're right. Harsh and a soul. In the end it's about a werewolf. Thank you MD.
Dang!!!! This is fast and wicked. I like the pace, downhill all the way. I dare not fall asleep tonight! Great writing!!
