Vibe War

Vibe War

A Poem by duff

Our vibes never had any light

My loud shirt dull by your spite

Your rolling eyes kill the mood

A crime in your new windows

Blue skies wouldn't open you

Puzzled by those scary faces

Cared for by a medieval wench

Mesmerized by your darkness

A patient kept alive by the hills

I promise thrills to match yours

I'm reminded of how hopeful we used to be, back in the flower-child days, that we could effect some meaningful change on society & on the world. But now I'm old & after watching the world go steadily downhill in terms of everything that means anything to me, well, I'm bitter too. But the taste isn't too bad down here with my head in the sand (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

we can promise all we want...but some expectations are just too high...and yes, they damn well do kill the mood.

Cheers Jacob
I think the medieval wench is something in the addressee's mind. Heavy with bitterness, this one. Let it go and let it die.
