A Coin

A Coin

A Poem by boygene borice
"

it's about being left, misused by the person you once loved

"

When I first met you,

I believed I had found my other half,

You so much resembled what my heart,

Had spent days, praying for earnestly.

Your

smile

was

more

than

a charm,

Your words like sweet wine upon my soul,

I’m favored, I believed like a redeemed soul.

Little did I know, I was just another coin,

So beautiful to be traded for your pleasure.

You are very welcome.
So painful. The end was really hard hitting. Beautifully expressed the feelings. Good to see your writing after a long time.
