A FORBIDDEN FRUIT, ISN'T IT?

A FORBIDDEN FRUIT, ISN'T IT?

A Poem by theabstractink

I am not allowed

To have it, feel it, touch it

Is that a fair deal?

Or is it just another pretense

To make me feel better

Because it does

The warm and fuzzy desire

A cheesecake in the sky

A fire lit passion

Shuffling in a box of impression

Teasing away at me

Confining me into a trap

Constant thoughts jostling me

With every craving wave

Sending signals of ridiculous hope

The touch of a lover

Turns husk into gold,

A sinister into a pure soul.

Cruel agony!

Painful yet pleasant

Desperate yet gullible

Powerless yet fierce

A forbidden fruit, indeed!

Forbidden fruit is forbidden as living God said to humans. But, impish forces made humans to disobey living God and made them eat it. Disobeying, the first sin. Nice poem on Forbidden fruit.
