Empathy

Empathy

A Poem by André M. A. Ferreira
"

About empathy, and its briefness.

"
You can't hear their cries as they suffer and die:
Too far from vessels of vain thoughts of vain goals
Sculpted by selfishness;
You go about your day, and when you see-hear-feel
Them fall,
You're moved, yes,

But a second later,

They don't exist at all.
