Driving me to Madness

Driving me to Madness

A Poem by Marla

Darkness has shown down on me

The only thing I had to guide

Light has cut through me

In me, through my insides

I walk on the glass of your broken heart

I lay on the jagged thoughts of you mind

In this place I feel confined

Will you ever leave me be?

Will ever leave my dreams?

Will you ever let me sleep?

Now the cut has gone too deep

Will you ever let me go?

I wonder if I would ever know

Can you open you love-blind eyes

Can you just leave me here to die

Your cry awakens me every single night

It lets my sorrow be free to ignite

I intend to avoid your flame

But I can still feel your aching pain

You will never let me forget

How I regret

I do regret

Look into my tormented soul

My tormented mind

Mingling through the demented night

With raised arms to the blackened night sky

I pray that you would just let me die
