In gloom

In gloom

A Poem by thechosensara

They tell me I am sad

That I should be happier

I should talk to my friends

The more the merrier

You see my friend

I used to be strong

I used to be a warrior

But

That ship has sailed

And broke the barrier

In a dark place left me

And I became

my tomb carrier

One gloomy night

I remeber

I was laying on my bed

With a cigarette a whiskey

and in gloom

The lightining from the window

Let up the room

Bright like it was morning bloom

For a second I felt a hand on my shoulder

It kept

Pressing harder and harder

My friend screamed as if she knew

It wasn't just us Tow

I lift my head up in fear

And for a second

I saw the man and he whispered in my ear

The reason for all this sadness and all my fear

I stared at his facelss head

and I shed a tear

For he was unlike me secretive

He was sincere

Evreything went darker

And the midnight stalker

Left me there with a reason

To be in gloom my friend

For it was the season

And a scar I carry till the end
