What Happened To Unity MR. Powel

What Happened To Unity MR. Powel

A Poem by thecoolone52
"

this isnt very good...... its my politcal view..... yeah i like bush.... so deal with it!!!

"

Bitching and complaining
Gripping over tactics
You know nothing about
What happened?
To loyalty to your country?

What happened?
Stand up for your leader
Even if you didn’t vote for him

Would you abandon your son this way?
What about your wife or husband?
An economical decision
Lead into a mediocre mistake

I thought you were a hippie?
Loving everyone and accepting clarity
How can you judge a job?
You were never hired for?

When your entire staff walks out on you
With one Condelleza
Saving the day
A real American woman

Powell was the cement for everything
The lining left
The America people faltered
Mr. Powell you disappointed me

You have the freedom of your words and the ability to use them. The conviction and courage have to come from within you. I think you might have more to say? This could be formatted into a political essay as opposed to poem. What you say is powerful. Don't limit your voice.

ive noticed that many writers evade political writing because it does sometimes affect reader's view points of a particular writer (if that made any sense)

If a reader does not especially like the opinion portrayed in a piece they are disinclined to enjoy it for what it's worth.

I atleast applaud you for the boldness and way you approached this topic, especially in such a critical time for American politics. I also liked how you really personalized it, like a letter or a speech to Mr. Powell. That was very cool to me. Though I disagree on some levels, I did enjoy reading this for it's worth.

Good job! I love reading your work. No matter how controversial it might be :)

As a Canadian, I have always been fascinated by American politics, as well as politics in general....

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this poem

Though some out here may not agree with your stance, I applaud your effort in speaking it in this way....it is commendable......

I have to say I agree with E. M. Murren, that your politics are definitely different from mine, but aside from that it made a good argument and I could tell you really feel strongly about this and it showed in this piece. I think its cool that you can state your opinion so clearly. Its good to know that at least theres one person who supports Bush in this country. Haha just kidding :)

How in the hell did I miss you ? You are the only living boy in New York city. I couldn't agree more with this piece. Great insight. Powell wasn't in anymore danger than Bush for running for President. He folded like a lawn chair. This was a beautiful, courageous write. I don't think people get it. We are at war, and I'm sick of every country calling on Big Daddy, and then not supporting us. You are one cool 52! Rain..

I have nothing to say about this so-called "poem," other than ignorance is a terrible, terrible thing.

I totally disagree with your politics, but this is a nicely organized poem. I could argue your attacking those who disagree with you, but I will let that pass. We all have opinions on this matter. After all, I am an old hippie. LOL So this is for a contest? Best of luck with it.

good luck to you as well in the contest. while i strongly respect your political views, i myself am not a person into politics. but i love the idea. i really like the fact that you look at the majority of the anti-bush group. a lot of people who are pro-bush tend to forget that. kudos sir.

I see the point....kinda.. it's a stretch. but its a good beginning to a good tale of political woe.
don't dabble in politics my self, but i check out the newpapers every once in a while. my opinion is , just throw all the politicians into the potomac river, and start over with a council of 13 wisemen.
But hey! each to there own ideas!
