Through all this pain

I finally feel real love

Growing in my broken heart

Healing all the wounds.

The loud beat of my heart

Echos through my empty mind

Showing me old memories

Of my first true love.

Causing single tears to fall

From my dull eyes

To hit the blanket I hold

Close to my cold body.

Ripples of sadness on my flesh

Sending me back in time

To my happy childhood

Where I felt warmth.

Now my eyes will close

Until I fall asleep

To dream of your smile

And of your kiss.
