Some Dreams

Your sweet voice asked
Your took my hand
You said, "We need to talk"

A tear broke from your eyes
I felt my throat go dry
You squeezed my hand
It started to shake

 

Please my angel I beg of you
Please don't do this to me tonight
Please don't do this ever
Please don't take your love from me

Your love is all that gets me through
Your touch is all that holds me together
Your smile is the heart beat inside of me
You are the best thing about me

 

Your arms surround me
I smell your hair one last time
You kiss me softly
I savour your touch

You said, "It's me not you"
That is the line I have heard too much
The world is deafened as my heart snaps in two
You said that you would never forget me

 

I awoke in a cold sweat
Some dreams I hope never come true
I breath relief to see you sleeping beside me
Some dreams I hope never end

Sometimes dreams do come true...love the twist at the end. I thought this was your conscience speaking at first, then I realized it was dream. We dream a lot about our fears and hopes, this one turned out perfect, much like this read. Nicely pen'd. Enjoyed this read.
