Ch. 53 Matt Norther

"Riley!"

I tear my hands off the wheel

and hold them close to my chest.

I'm hyperventilating now

and I can feel my heart

racing,

beating,

pumping

in my chest.

My head is spinning

and it feels like I'm

Matt's standing next to me.

I almost fall right out of the car

but he catches me

and helps me back into the seat.

He keep me upright

while I struggle to calm down,

saying soothing words

and holding my hand

the whole time.

He asks me if I'm okay

when I'm back to normal.

"I have to leave,"

I tell him.

"I have to go now."

He says something

but I don't understand

until I'm already in the passenger seat

of his car

and he's on the phone telling Will

he's taking me home.
