Ch. 58 My Mother

I've been doing my best

to avoid my mother

ever since the accident.

She never talks about it.

But the way she looks at me,

the way she talks to me,

the way she acts towards me,

it makes me think of the accident

more than actually talking about it does.

So I avoid her,

and her looks,

and her talks,

and her actions,

because it drives me crazy.

But I need a ride to work

and Johnny has a soccer game,

and Dad is out with coworkers,

and Will is busy with his little brother.

So I don't have a choice.
