Cabaret

Cabaret

A Poem by Maija Darling

Where do you turn when
the late nights end?
The music ceases
and your background runs silent?
When you sit at the table
and eat too quickly yet again
even though you're no longer pressured for time?
When the only distraction you had left
comes to a close
and you have nothing but reality to face?
Where do you turn when you realize you are lost?
