the edge of summer

the edge of summer

A Poem by Manda A.
"

Another take-away exercise poem, extracted from a journal entry written 3/2/10.

"
disregarded from contraceptives
to hormones constant arousal
lost in days hinderance
or a blessing.
months repressed ache
lustfully, immediately arrived
high heels
loss, restraint, despair subside.
female speculations involved
now noticed
her
brief encounters
hair or article of clothing
corsets
complement me even worn old
flattering underlying tone
vibrant, dynamic, quick
Saturday drinks
witted comical
sing in unison
lipstick
conversations deep yet light
interrupted chatter
local rock Amazon
attractions expressed, yet
subtle, tense, repressed
flash back to breasts and
vivid masturbation
exposed like an open book.
excited further innuendos
ready to pounce
be pounced
just hanging
out

Wow... I didn't see this taking the turn it did. It started out calm and then gradually put out some slight, subtle racy images, but then BAM. Very good poem. It builds up slowly (kinda like sex) and ends with an amazing climax. lol. While we're using that imagery, this one left me outta breath. lol. Very good poem. It starts off kinda fuzzy and becomes clearer as the reader in probed to keep reading. Nice work.

This is really great. It's a wonderful jumble of sexual longing, a special date a d a bit of frustration. I think this is about as real as it gets. Very impressive write.

What an adventurous write- and ambitious! Made me brush my own thoughts between the lines and made the poem my own. Your work is always so thought provoking, the imagery so stark. Loved it!

This is an interesting one by far, I love the description thats taking place it's nearly overwhelming. I get a feeling of longing from this piece the woman seems to be patiently waiting like a feline, graceful and temperant. You've described a whole evening to us three ways: like we are looking at it through a window, like we're the woman, and as if we could read her emotive mind. I hope I'm not wrong lol great poem.
