Drywall Heart

Drywall Heart

A Poem by thenakedverse

Clouds threaten heavy tears.

Darkness causes leaves to tremble.

Wind rides the air like the tide of a sea at civil war.

Lightning, and the oak tree breaks in two.

Thunder’s backlash growls from an angry sky.

Rain strikes against the roof with intent to harm.

I watch from a window, protected by drywall,

Wishing a heart had walls even half as thick.

You can a thing like drywall and what comes out of it is something so beautiful, that's real talent. I love this, I love what it has to say, just lovely.

I really enjoyed reading this poem. I mean , I was quite confused at the start, but as I kept reading I started to understand , and in the final line, I understood you.

And I can't agree more, the heart can be indeed broken so easily, not to mention by anything.

"come in" she said "i'll give ya, shelter from the storm"

bob dylan

uh huh....

if only the heart could have shelter from the storms...but it can't and each time becomes more storm weary and storm worn.
