Boys Being Boys

Boys Being Boys

A Poem by therisa
"

A wish that never be fulfilled.

"

How
I wish
You could see
The scars
Which you inflicted
Upon me.

Poisoning
The way
I see myself
And others.

Especially
As I turn
Inwards.

My
Sense of anger
And helplessness
In a totally
Destructive
Manner.

But
You never cared
Except to
Express your violence
Against me.

Whether
It be emotionally
Or physically
Release.

Now
I am forced
To heal myself
Decades later.

When
My mental walls
Collapsed upon me.

Releasing
These long suppressed
Memories of trauma
From my childhood.
