Voters Address

Deviation is the key to political status

Makes you believe that which is madness

Takes the truth and spins it through a loop

Like how constipation becomes poop

The inauguration of that one special being

That takes your life into his hands

Thoughts of persecution as he devises his a plan

Taking taxes to gain wealth

While many have bad health

As we pledge our allegiance

He locks us up for treason

And still we follow blindly like semen

Democracy is our only demon

In God we trust

Like Trojans with lust

This land is our land

Sung by handcuffed fans

Treason he screams

As freedom rings

Without him terrorist rein

Osama Bin Laden was the goal

But now we pay a high toll

Never found

But troops lay ground

To a better system

Under his wisdom

Things we’ve lost

Brothers, Sister, Mothers, Fathers, Daughters, Sons, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Friends, Families,

Hope, Freedom, Strength, Wealth, and Justice.

Seems to me he forgot

In one mans hands we’ve put our life

In one Term we should have learned

No results

And false hopes

One more year

To change gears

Who will you elect

To further neglect

To take from us

What was once thought unjust

Troubles lie ahead

While you sleep in your bed

Thoughts of despair

Comes in pairs

As our freedom is taken

Rights slowly making

It’s way into the fire

Smoke rising higher

Clouds fill our mind

As this man passes bills that bind

We chose him and his father

And once again I ask why bother

Falling we lay

While golf he plays

And presidential tides get paid

Paving the way for future destruction

Of this once great nations functions

United we fell

Divided we dwell

Dormant as volcano

Flushed out with draino

I ask again

Who will you elect

Well you got your point across Theta, this really says it straight, exactly how it is. And you picked a great excuse of a politician, we have his cohort here! Our very lives are in their hands. To think that one push of a button....don't want to think about it, too close to bedtime here.

would have to be my favorite lines. and by the way.... I am voting Ron Paul.
But it is really a sad state of times. All this is happening to us and yet nothing is done. We are forced almost to ignore it. Like wow thats messed up but I gotta go to work or my favorite shows on besides what am I going to do about it. We seem to think that we have no power to change and because we think this way we don't. Great poem.

It packs a punch but what I really like about this section is for me it still rolls on. Has the rhythm of the piece still intact. Nicely done.
