Top of the World

Top of the World

A Poem by the tipsy writer

Mountains are obstacles but who can resist the challenge of climbing to the top,

Of a glorious summit. Of glorious passion. Of glorious perspiration.

…Endless perspiration. Endless determination.

At the top of the world all things die. False dreams die. Anxieties die.

You die.

And you are reborn. At the top of the world.

A small child in a great big world. Welcome to your brand new world.

But who are you when you reach the bottom?
