Black Waters

Black Waters

A Poem by Wildwood Fox

The broken silence, the inescapable abyss.
Pulling me under with it's black turning waters.
Filling my ears with such a lonely silence.
Soaking my clothes with it's heavy weight.
Choking my lungs of their precious air.
Making my body go limp in it's grasp,
Holding me under with unseen hands,
Dragging me down to bury me in the sand.
No light to lead me,
No sound to awaken me.
Just a silent grave here, under the muck.
