Prologue

PROLOGUE

 

My name is Ravenne. I’m three hundred sixteen years old but I possess the looks of nineteen. I’ve been a trained assassin since soon after I turned sixteen. I work under the rule of Queen Zerena as her head knight. I am the only female worthy of my title working alongside hundreds of men and yet I am the most dangerous being on Earth.

I am to be feared and hated, for my kind is not of Faery any longer. I was born under the Vim rulers, among the vampires, yet I was abducted from my people after the break of the Vim war by the people of Faery. I was rescued to serve the purpose that I do today, to protect the people of Faery and killing anybody who gets in my way or deceives the queen in such a way that may put her or her people in danger.
