I Dream

Don’t you cry

Anymore,

Little girl;

Run and play,

For tomorrow

Is a new day-

Free of judgment

You are too 

Young for-

Please, don’t cry.

I know this place,

This dying world,

Is too cruel

For the likes of you;

I know you dream

Of a sweeter land

Where all your wishes

Can come true.

The road seems long,

The journey hard-

But that is why

It is called life. 

Find good friends,

And never say

This is the end-

For you still have

Much to live for.

Don’t you cry,

For the sun 

Shall appear 

And dry 

Your tear-stained eyes. 

Please, little girl,

Hold fast 

To what you love

Lest it could 

Be taken;

Dreams cannot survive

Without hope-

Don’t let it die-

Never give up

Hope, for

That is what

Beautiful dreams

Are made of.

Very beautiful, I love the message and the picture it conveyed in my mind of a young girl, crying in the ashes of a ruined world, but still dreaming and finding hope deep within her heart. Great write :3

Yet, another poem that reminds me of my little sister aha. Also kind of reminds me of someone...who did their best to try and lift me up, it worked for awhile, but this poem has helped me again. I haven't been myself lately, and this poem has just lifted my mood

I think this poem-like so many of my others- may have a few meanings-I'm not bipolar :)-but I think my favorite one for this is that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I relate to this as well-one of the reasons I love to use "she" or little girl

Actually, I was listening to an instrumental cello song, and the beginning words found their way into the tune of the music. From there, I just wrote. I tried to add little rhymes here and there, but I wrote this in probably two minutes. Probably at least half of my poems come from a song's influence
