In the day,

I hear you screaming;

From my frightened gaze;

My afflicted soul

And broken heart

Are no match 

For pleading eyes

And quivering lips;

To even begin

Understanding

This dark place

In which you live.

I have seen death

In your crystal eyes;

I have felt hell

In the tremor

Of your quaking bones,

Known agony

In but a simple stare-

Cannot travel so far
