Horses Of My Soul

Horses Of My Soul

A Poem by Jacob
"

"

Galloping through the blizzard white,
With a strength, breaking my leash,
Horses of my soul,
You have left me behind.

Now if you reach the gravel,
Don’t call to me.
Lead me through the blizzard,
That’s when I need you most.

Won’t you leave me here?
In the biting ice and gushing winds.
Now all you cold-hearted can go,
You have been so unfaithful.

I’d rather stay here and freeze,
Than tread the gravel with you again,
Horses of my soul,
 You have left me behind,
In the blizzard white,
Every time.
