some stream writing after a bad day

Scene 3.14

X walks through an array of tiles in different shades of peach. The grass is green beside her. And so are the trees. But the trees do not bear peaches.

[Enter Y]

Y looks at X

X stares at Y

[Enter %]

X, Y, and % walk together

%: Where’s everyone?

X shrugs

Y: I’m going home.

%: You?

X: Home.

Y: Why?

X: I have some things to do.

X, Y, and % continue to walk

X stops and presses on the rusty metal button with her right thumb and presses her lips against the sea. Sips. Swallows. Drinks.

[Exit %]

X walks

Y walks six feet ahead of X

X and Y continue to walk.

[End Scene]

Scene ∞

X walks

Y walks three feet ahead of X

X and Y continue to walk

Y crosses the pedestrian lane

X follows

X and Y climb up the steep stairway to that big suspended chunk of concrete that people can walk on where X and Y can see that strip of moving lights that they once watched together

But now it is much brighter

Lights are not necessary

Y: Where’s everyone?

X shrugs

X and Y walk together

X: Are you okay?

Y: Yes, I’m okay.

X: Sure?

Y: Yes, I’m just tired. I’ve been sleeping the whole day, actually.

X: You just seem…

Nevermind.

X and Y walk together

X: You just seem to be very distant lately

X and Y walk together until they reach the other side of the big suspended chunk of concrete that people can walk on

Y: Alright, see you.

X: Bye.

X descends the staircase on the left side

Y descends the staircase on the right side

[End Scene]

Scene {  }

X descends the stairs

X walks to a cool shack that smells of coffee and wood

#: Good morning, ma’am.

X walks to the restroom, locks the door, and lets the salty water drown her as she shivers

Clouds form in her eyes. It rains

X opens the door

[Exit X]

The next one in line for the restroom enters

[End Scene]

Maybe I am wrong, or maybe it is just the background music in my mind, but this was funny. In all honesty, if this was not suppose to be a comedy, please tell me cause I tend to over read things. but i found this very entertaining,
