Tell Me About And Show Me Your Broken Battered Being

Tell Me About And Show Me Your Broken Battered Being

A Poem by Richard Mueller
"

Your bruises and your scars and your wounds and your friendly reminders

"
Tell me how it feels to hold your heart in your hand
Show me what it's like to cast your shadow across the land
Tell me how it feels, the knife, as you bleed out of your back
Show me what it's like to have all you see be black
Tell me how it feels as you drop down on your knees
Show me what it's like as time begins to freeze
Tell me how it feels as you fall face down on the floor
Show me what it's like to be broken to the core

Very poetic, and beautifully written. It's critical to have someone to be there, to listen when someone is going through something, that you've created to sound so tragic.
