Fire and Water

Fire and Water

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

Life

"
Fire and water
Since the beginning of time.
With the balance of power.
Neither could coexist.
If fire gets to bright Water puts out it's dream.
But fire can divide,
Just to blow off steam.
The element of surprise,
Could mean the annihilation,
For both. Big bang they decide,
Let's compromise,
For the sake of all.
Because Without us
there is no life.

Balance... How foolish humans ignore that simple concept so well known to Nature. And yet, rather then be content with our place in life's web, we have corrupted it in a mad desire to control it. As Puck remarked, "What fools these mortals be!"

Thank you for reading and you comment.
Compromise is an essential element and perhaps the least used. The blending of colors often is another solution. Thanks for sharing your emotions. Gently, Pat
