Wishful Love

I’ve come to terms that some things, will never change.

I yearn, I want, but if you don’t, those feelings could never be the same.

I could climb the highest mountain or sink beneath the sea.

Nether, will get me closer, nor bring my heart to thee.

My heart goes astray in hopes to keep the memories.

Of Entrapped visions of dreams, that will last an eternity.

I humble myself for a love, I thought was true.

For a wishful love, I’ll always think of you.

THE END.

I like your poems! keep writing! It is good to write from the heart. My poems come from the heart and from the bible my favorite books Song of Solomon which is the lovers chapter, Psalm the uplifting deliverence prayer song chapters Proverbs the wisdom chapter. And some poems I get through prayer and meditation with Jesus. So glad you like them thank you for the review! I had a lot wishful thinking when it came to lovers but I do know the right one will come when I least expect it. It's hard being single but a blessing at the same time. But it all works out for the good I think God saves the best for last :) It is better to let love awaken on it own if ya try and chase it, it seems to run away Haha!!!

another lovely piece. Hark heartache for it strikes the unknowing and knowing alike. There is no place to hide, no way to build a wall too high for it to breach. It seeks and conquers and never ceases to learn, every entrance to the most protected heart.

Nice work.

As I read I could feel it is from the heart.
Love is a mystery to me. Loving someone who doesn't love
you in the same way, or possibly not at all is painful.
As you so well expressed, nothing we can do or say will make the love come ..
I enjoyed this though it does leave me with a sad feeling.

Such a sad tale of desire. We've all wanted something that we could never have. I applaud the pure emotion of this poetry. I have nothing to be critical of.
