Struggling journey

Struggling journey

A Poem by Tinasha LaRayé

Struggle often wears the mask of death
But truly bears life
Like soil breaking and bleeding
And seed dying
So shall struggle commit itself to be according to it's purpose
To see life burst forth and shoot towards heaven
To see bulb bloom and grow
To see fruit sprout and fatten
To see with new eyes tomorrow what came from yesterday's pain
Is all the more reason
To roll up sleeves and pick up spade
And till and till
And wait...
And wait...
And wait...
Til the harvest comes to visit lips and fill bellies once drained
To live is Christ
And to die
To yield
To be broken down and rebuilt

You are loved
And on your way
Although we journey through pain
That is not our destination
