BORROWED TIME

"every fight needs mending every star as an end

like the sunrise and the sunset this is how it ends,

love one borrowed time will never be yours nor mine

I need you like you need me
The way we ought to be..

I just close my eyes, and it'll be alright..."
My professor told me, it doesn't mean that if you have a pen and paper and you know how to write, you're already considered a writer, sometimes it's the other way beyond what you can imagine; that's why though I'm not really into writing stories, I'm taking this opportunity to reveal an untold story, as this song of ‘Cueshe’ molded up again and reminds me of an image of a girl I've seen four long years ago..,
Angel, as her name speaks, is not just an ire of beauty, but of talents as well. At the age of 15, she's just a girl but for many, she's a woman; an privileged friend.. a guy's trophy.. no, her world revolves around the four corners of her books. She chose to curve her smiles on competitions, studies and school. Good grades always make her day and being on top rank seems to be her only luxury. At her young age, she was sealed on the intellectual realm of a student's life without even bothering about her heart growing, beating, longing to be warmth by something she never felt before. She thought everything’s in order and in control not until her physics class came.

It was a typical first day of the class and everybody was talking in excitement. As the new physics professor came, every lip was in deep silence, and each face's in awe. Mr. L is no ordinary professor. I consider him a genius, too young to have such job and his lectures flow like a daily conversation without books, notes or copies, just a board, pen and himself. He's too busy in learning and teaching, but he always had his time on his corny jokes with other profs...and he never failed to be the center of girls talk in school because of his humor and looks. He easily recognizes Angel, for being so active in class. They always exchange ideas and thoughts which later on lead to friendship. One time, Mr. L asked her for a duel in badminton as they commonly do and whoever looses carry the honor to ramp on stage during JS Prom. Sometimes, he offered her a ride home. Actually, there’s a lot more, but to cut the long story short, the two of them found each other as a comfort zone.  The feeling of being at ease is slowly revealed on them and Angel never thinks twice to give off her TRUST. There was a time when he asked her why she never danced in the Prom which he insisted her to answer. As their life slowly focused on each other, Angel often feels to be in the middle of doubts, awkwardness, joy and of course fear. She told him, she's waiting for him to dance but he never did. They were both, flowers on the wall, in a suppose-to-be happy ever after fairy tale-like dance; flowers blooming but still needs water to grow and be free. They just contented themselves by seeing each other, talking and sharing laughs which lingered to be unend. But before their attachment falls to become a promise of love, she came to realized that he already had a wife and a baby. At the time that Angel learned how to define her essence is the very moment she found her true purpose. As she stepped down the road of diverging ways, she chose to be hurt and leave the world masked with enchantment, for she knew in her heart she'll find true happiness. She learned the purpose of letting go. Thanks to him, for letting her feel being cared and loved by a man, though in a short moment of time, and taught her the true law of honesty despite the pain. And now that Angel started to fly unto her dreams, the past is just a sigh,.. ..a breath which flows out easily and goes with the wind.

'oh, it’s good to be true

if our hopes and dreams come true
wish that I have more

of this borrowed time if only it would last a lifetime..

Angel and I were friends since the 5th grade and I know she made the right thing. I was inspired by her courage to face a too-painful-path of letting in. Despite the fact that we're a certified NBSB (no boyfriend since birth) circle of friends, it's never a reason to become desperate to commitments coz there's always the right time for everything. Love doesn't always mean being in a relationship, but it's being in the right kind of people who will bring out the best in you.

Though no one can go back

and make a brand new start,

anyone can start from now

and make a brand new ending.

I'm not really one for romantic stories, but this is different. It's not so much romantic as it is a tragedy to realization. It's tragic (to a degree) that she actually started falling for this teacher who had a wife and children, but it also lead her to the realization that just because you love someone does not mean you want to be with them or HAVE to be with them.

I had to re-read the other chapters and I'm glad I did. A well written story. I like this chapter. I like the thoughts and the discussion. A lot of wisdom learned and shared. Thank you for sharing the excellent chapter.

I loved the introduction, it drew me and kept me, for the entirety of the reading, in a sense that this was an actually person telling me the story. In some people's writings you get a sense that this isn't an actual narrator, simply a flash light that illuminates your thoughts. But with this, I felt more that there was someone sitting before me and telling me a story of a part of their life.
It was cute and relatable, many girls in high school have been in similar situations to Angle's.
Although there were a few grammar mistakes and the likes, I did enjoy reading this{:
Keep up the good work, I'm sure I'll drop by and read some more of your work.

it's such a beautiful story.I really liked the introduction and how you were able to be brief, and still get to the very core of the characters....and she made a wise decision.

It's nice to read a different form of writing from you. The way you introduced the story itself drew me in that much more; it merged, after having introduced, two facets of your writing making the overall effect that much more idiosyncratic. Maybe every now and then it's good to write something that others would describe as a story.
